I struggled valiantly, in all modesty, to get the word out that it was NOT a good idea for the Labour Party to dump its most electorally successful leader OF ALL TIME. Apart from that he was MY Prime Minister! No-one asked me what I thought! He was evidently up against more than just the anti-Iraq war people and the 'feral' press. It was, and probably still is, a struggle for the 'soul' (if it has one) of the Labour Party in Britain.
My blog is still running and has lots of information, pictures, videos, links and articles about the great man.

Tony Blair Defends George Bush Well, a hard one that. I've never been a "personality" follower. And I was never a Labour supporter, because of an earlier party loyalty. But I watched Blair with some interest at how he seemed to be the "complete politician". And when his party started to plot against their brilliant leader I took more interest. THEN I learnt a lot - and it was all positive. I'd vote Labour now if Blair were still leading them. My previous party have lost it, imho. (1 week ago) |
