From The Basement is a groundbreaking 6-part music show,featuring intimate live performances from musicians including; The White Stripes, Thom Yorke, Jarvis Cocker, Beck and Sonic Youth.

With no audience or host, From the Basement allows the artist to take centre stage. Not only is the series filmed in high definition, but it sets a new standard in sound quality thanks to Grammy-Award-winning music producer Nigel Godrich.

From The Basement will be aired every Sat at 9PM on Sky Arts (Channel 267/Sky HD 268).

	punkoclo \| 20 December 2007 The concept for the basement is perfect. too many television performances are packed full of press and other nonsense that just isn't needed. It's beautifully filmed and captures the music entirely. I'm so glad skyarts have got hold of this as well. I'll be checking this page a lot!

Done Beautifully. ! Thank god theres no host either. We wouldn't another one of them running around..unless it was martin freeman of course.
