An old, beat-up Grindhouse-style trailer for a movie that doesn't exist titled Pomona Heat. Written & Directed by Borrow lead, Jason Oyama. Narrated by Khaled Hassan. Shot and Edited by MEEEEEE!!! Featuring lines and set-ups borrowed liberally (read: stolen) from Boogie Nights and Seinfeld. Enjoy!
I put together this trailer as a surprise for our gang's most recent Trash Movie Night, using footage shot in 2002 for my buddy Jason's short film in addition to some old trashy flicks from my collection. After watching the trailer for the first time, Jason came over to me and smiled -- then proceeded to punch me in the face, over and over again. You're welcome.

Sorry for the audio/video quality. But when you factor in that 1) YouTube compresses the heck out of these things 2) This was a pretty grainy low-light video to begin with 3) I'm a moron who doesn't know anything.
Then this is what they usually come out looking like.

Make of this video what you will; this was always intended to be left open to interpretation, but for that to be possible, I actually had dialogue and a tiny bit of plot written in, just so I can remove it all later, if that makes any sense. (It doesn't.)

Two co-workers on a break from their night-shift job. Enjoy!
My original script was far too long to shoot in one weekend and required further planning, so I wrote this unrelated five-page scene in a frustrated need to shoot *something*. I almost didn't put this up on YouTube because I didn't feel it met up to my standards, like the nonsensical action movie Twenty Black, or the nonsensical mood piece Stolen, or the nonsensical exercise in nonsensical homophobia "Payment". Then I remembered that I had no standards and now here we are. How's that for sense?

A quick movie written and shot in one day, Payment was made to break in my new camera and to get back into the groove of filmmaking after a short lapse. A semi-remake of one of my previous short films, Stolen -- evidently, I couldn't rack my brain for any other ideas the day I wrote this. Enjoy!

A man steals a car and all that THAT entails. Enjoy!
Way back when I first uploaded this video, I had included a little joke in the description, something about shortly after making this video, my car really got stolen. That was true. The punchline was that since it appears that life imitates art, I would write a screenplay about me being forced to become Scarlett Johansson's sex slave. Anyway, thanks to YouTube "mysterious search algorhythm", half of the Related Videos all have "sex slave" or some variation thereof. This bothered me. So I deleted my joke. Well, almost a year later, and they're still there. But if you like that kind of thing, more power to ya. Just don't complain that my video features none of those types of scenarios. I don't even know why I bother.

"Hey, let's put on a show! And let's have it not make any sense whatsoever!" Just a little action movie I made for a class I took a few years back. Most of it was shot in medium and close-ups to try to disguise the fact that most of the time nobody was in the same place on the same day. For all those involved in the piece, my sincerest apologies. Enjoy!
(Note: There's about ten seconds of black leader preceding the actual short, so please be patient.)
