The DEC brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to respond quickly and effectively to disasters overseas: Action Against Hunger, ActionAid, Age International, British Red Cross, CAFOD, CARE International, Christian Aid, Concern Worldwide, International Rescue Committee UK, Islamic Relief, Oxfam, Plan UK, Save the Children, Tearfund and World Vision.
 
What we have achieved so far... We have run 72 appeals and raised more than £1.5 billion since our launch in 1963 - helping to save millions of lives and rebuild communities devastated by disaster.
