LONGLISTED FOR THE WAINWRIGHT PRIZE 2024 'Essential reading for anybody who wants to understand rural life' Patrick Galbraith, author of In Search of One Last Song 'This is a book of life and why we should celebrate our roots before it is too late' John Connell, author of The Cow Book Where Are the Fellows Who Cut the Hay? is an ode to rural life, charting traditions of the past, how they were lost and why we need to reconnect.
The first Leiston Book Festival took place on the 7th September 2024 and was a great success. In 2025 we will continue the theme, featuring non-fiction authors, who have written books that explore our changing landscape and environment. Those who came along said how thought provoking they found the programme, and that is our goal. We’re already planning the 2025 book festival. Sign up for updates on our website and we’ll be in touch as soon as tickets go on sale. https://www.leistonbookfestival.co.uk
