With a growing demand of IT professionals, the Rotary Club of Beograd-Cukarica started the mBots project. This project brings programming to primary schools across Serbia through donating robots and igniting interest in technology for students. The Rotary Club also organizes the "Knowledge for the Future" competitions to challenge and develop students' programming skills. Each year, Rotary recognizes six individuals as Rotary People of Action. Honorees and their projects often best exemplify what it means to be one of Rotary’s #PeopleOfAction through their volunteer activities. In 2021, Rotary honored six members as People of Action: Champions of Health on World Health Day, 7 April, in recognition of their work to improve the foundation of good health at home and across the globe. This work proved especially important and challenging due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
