This is one of several short video clips of our EMS Synthi AKS vintage modular synthesizer in action. We took this video for testing and demonstration purposes only, not to show off our programming skills - these patches were made very quickly and are self triggering or controlled by the sequencer. A few had a little help from the hand that wasn't holding the camera. I think we need a tripod! :) minime123@onebox.com
As vintage synth dealers we get the opportunity to play a lot of synths most people never get to play. This is one of several videos we took on our test bench to demonstrate some of our Simmons SDS7 drum synthesizer modules being played by one of our ARP Sequencers. There are 2 things to note. 1. We programmed these sounds. If you want your SDS7 to sound like this, you'll need to learn how to program it and 2. a messages to the usual haters - these patterns were thrown together fast and were not meant to impress you. Haters, if you'd like to pay us for it, we'd be happy to program some serious beats for you. ;) If you think something looks odd, you're right - we removed the SDS7 front panel so we could move the modules around.
