2008 - 5FDP is on the road with Slipknot and Disturbed [Metal Mayhem Festival]

* 5FDP is going back out on the fall with Korn and Hellyeah.

* Five Finger Death Punch debut album has landed on the Billboard 200 charts, and it was #3 on the Billboard "new artists" chart on it's first week out.

* 5PDP's single "The Bleeding" broke in to the Active Rock Top 40 radio charts, and The Way Of The Fist became the most added metal album to rock/metal radio on it's first week.

* 5FDP guitarists Zoltan Bathory and Darrell Roberts signs endorsement deal with BC. Rich guitars. Jeremy Spencer (drums) signs with Tama Drums and Paiste Cymbals, while Matt Snell joins the Ibanez Artist Roster.




BIO : It doesn't happen every day that a practically new band gets to play big shows right out of the gate, but there is a reason why 5FDP had street credit from the first day it popped up on the horizon... <br><br> Every member of the Death Punch earned their black belts in metal, and their individual stories are nothing short of amazing. Yet, It's still a paramount task to write a biography about a band that's very essence is "walking the walk" instead of "talking the talk". <br><br> Five Finger Death Punch would rather leave "blowing their own horns" to the angels of the apocalypse -- but - provide the soundtrack for the celestial event. <br><br>Since the conception of the band, 5FDP just did what had to be done, and has done it in a rapid pace. They have pulled together a world class production team: Including Stevo Shotgun Bruno -- (Motley, Crue, Prong) Mike Sharkysian (Spineshank) and Logan Mader (Machine Head, Soulfly) for recording their first album "The Way Of The Fist". <br><br>According to the diehard fans they instantly acquired, "Five Finger Death Punch" turned out to be a fairly descriptive name regarding the band's iron fisted delivery of their vision. In the overwhelming response, the phrase that echoed the most, was "True Metal" -- something the band ended up picking up as a short description of their music. <br><br>
5FDP seems to hit a chord that is sorely lacking in today's musical climate. Their melodic aggression, the fast technical riffage contrasted by big epic pieces - invoke the spirit of the glory days of metal. However, the down tuned subsonic assault definitely reminds us we're in the 21st century. <br><br> The band perfected today's sound but fused it with yesterday's songwriting values.<br><br>
