I struggled valiantly, in all modesty, to get the word out that it was NOT a good idea for the Labour Party to dump its most electorally successful leader OF ALL TIME. Apart from that he was MY Prime Minister! No-one asked me what I thought! He was evidently up against more than just the anti-Iraq war people and the 'feral' press. It was, and probably still is, a struggle for the 'soul' (if it has one) of the Labour Party in Britain.

My blog is still running and has lots of information, pictures, videos, links and articles about the great man.

He will never equal the MASTER though. We KNEW exactly what Blair was about in 1997. So far, Cameron has said little or nothing about fighting international terror - possibly the greatest threat to the freedom-loving world. Blair coined "liberal interventionism" even as he hoped for "no wars in our lifetimes". Brown is proving a disaster, as I expected. (2 days ago)

If it was - and I don't think I mentioned "values" - I suppose my gut reaction to this negative-sounding query is that if you don't know and subscribe to the same set of values as Blair (and me!) then well, there's little point in debating. 	Goodbye, Tony Blair No, I'd never attack talent for that kind of reason ;0) Thus, I wouldn't attack Blair as "bad" or "useless" if I didn't agree with ALL of his policies. I still think he was the greatest - a multi-talented politician. And I wasn't even a Labour supporter! Had a search for your video, btw. 	I have to congratulate you on your artistic work. Pity I don't agree with the politics. I think Blair is, was, the BEST PM we have had in our country for 50 years. You don't "know" all that you think you know. Only time will tell, but really, politicians aren't evil bastards with ulterior motives and malice aforethought. It's easy to be "clever". 	Tony Blair - Everlasting Words Part 1 Well put, scoutingcanb4girls! And he's still doing his best for this country and the world. It must have been a lonely job at times with Brown next door plotting the coup. I also think the treatment of Blair tells you a lot about the pathetic character of the British press and the cynical intelligentsia. I DO blame the liberal press for their misinformation on him.
