Howdy folks! So, I've just found out that I've been approved to join the YouTube Partner Program. Basically, what this means is that I'm now free to put unskippable ads every 2 minutes in my videos, and thus reap MASSIVE PROFITS! Bwahahaha! But of course I'm not going to do that. For one thing, I don't think it really makes sense to risk incurring the wrath of my tiny but loyal (and much appreciated!) community for the sake of maybe earning a few bucks a month. And more importantly, I want to make watching my videos an experience that, y'know, hopefully doesn't suck. So I'm going to take it easy on the ads. No unskippable videos, only very occasional midrolls. At least that's the current plan. But I really, really want feedback on this. So please, tell me what you think. And if the advertising gets too intrusive or offputting, let me know. Honestly, the main reason I'm even considering having ads at this point is that I've heard some anecdotal evidence that the almighty YouTube algorithm favours monetised videos. That's probably nonsense, but I guess I'll find out. Anyway, thanks for your support, everyone, and please do feel free to hit me with your opinions on this!

Anyone got any suggestions for what I should livestream next? I've totally run out of inspiration. Of course, I don't have access to every game ever made, and I'm not gonna play something I have zero interest in, but I'm definitely open to ideas!

Hi folks! Some of you may have noticed I've been doing some livestreaming here on YouTube again lately. I've really enjoyed it, and thanks heaps to those who have stopped by and helped me pass the time with some pleasant chit-chat. However, I'm always left with some nagging doubts about livestreaming on YouTube, as I can't help but feel that the majority of my modest audience don't care about livestreams and might be mildly irritated by me popping up in their notifications all the time with stuff that doesn't interest them. But honestly I'm realising that I have no idea how other people tend to use YouTube or how they interact with notifications/subscriptions/etc. So I'm putting up this poll. I won't necessarily change the way I do things, but if one option has significantly more votes, I'll definitely take it into consideration. Thanks!

For anyone who still remembers who I am, I just thought I'd better post an update confirming that, yes, I am still alive, and that, yes, more videos are on the way, including an explanation as to why it's been a while since I've uploaded anything (spoiler alert: it's mostly because I'm *incredibly* lazy). In any case, look out for a new video in the next few days. Or maybe the next week. Probably not longer than that. Hopefully. Maybe.
