"The pictures I have in my head from those early days are very clear to me: running down Beverly Drive in Berverly Hills, arms held wide, green three-quarters coat flying, toward Bogie waiting for me on the corner with James Gleason at four in the morning; Bogie walking up Highway 101 in espadrilles, huge sunflower in jacket lapel at six in the morning as I found him in my 1940 Plymouth - the headiest romance imaginable."
-Lauren Bacall in her book 'By Myself and Then Some'

Yeah, you are definitely right about "The Big Sleep"! It takes you on quite a ride! But it's very good! Have you ever seen Lauren Bacall in "How To Marry a Millionaire"? What are some other good movies that she is in? Sorry, I really don't know about too many movies she's in. I hope that you are doing well, Loes.

Hi Anne,

Your welcome glad to have shared the news thought it would be of interest to people. Yes Cary was a great actor and very handsome indeed my favourite film of his I love a lot of his films all the ones I like are listed on my channel. It's had to pick just one but I do love Notorious and Father Goose is very funny.

are you serious? you just saw it too!? wow, well i wanted to see Gone With The Wind and i KNOW its a 'must see' but i guess i just never got attracted to it because Clark Gable was in it! Talk about close-minded! but most of the time i'll look at new movies, and you totally should see Kitty Foyle its a nice drama, kind of tungs at your heart strings, but thats what makes it so good ^.^ and btw, i guess you don't really like musicals, but to be honest i LOVE them, thats what actually got me into old movies in the first place! my first old movie was 42nd Street (1933) , i LOVED it!
