First History is non separable part of religion and explains it.
Second Tafseers are written by people and not by God. No human is God this includes Ibn Kathir, Al Jalalayn and others. There many more people in Churches who telling Earth is flat...
Third Qoran never says Earth is flat but if you like to look at it in this way the same thing can be interpreted from the Bible.
