Well let's see....George Bush blew it in Afgoonistan. Bin Looney got away because of stupidity. Now the place is infected with Herion and KarzaHI's brother is a smuggler and all looks grim say the Commanders. Lies and blunders and a Trillion dollar fiasco in Iraq. A horror story for New Orleans. Little progress on the border or immigration. Big time multi billion dollar deficit spending for 7 years. Under funded FDA thousands of dogs and cats get sick...plus lead paint and more BS. Now a financial disaster and billions of taxpayer dollars going to bail out shitheads. Clinton handed the Republicans The House, The Senate and White House on a Silver Platter. Bush has done the same on a 24K Gold diamond studded platter. Fucking idiot. Anyway I'll vote for McCain because I feel sorry for the son of a bitch. How do you win following an azzhole with 34% approval. A president that many people hate with a passion. Answer...you don't.

When it comes to master degrees more education generally means more money. This seems like a logical reason to stay in school. The Monster might also consider that more education means that you have successfully jumped over more hurdles and you are theoretically better then those with lower levels of education. School is not so much about what you have learned, as that you have shown that you can withstand all the papers, tests etc. Education installs a sense of hard worker and social discipline. This seems like a pretty conservative concept to me.

Mccain over Obama any day of the year, but McCain is going to lose this election because he has brought into the simplistic mentality (and rigid ideology) that "low taxes are better" for everyone. Case in point New Hampshire. NH has low low taxes but there school system, roads, health care etc are simply terrible! Wouldn't you rather live somewhere where you paid slightly higher taxes and got better services then somewhere like say New Hampshire?

Where does the monster think most of the funding for these things comes from? There is no doubt in my mind that the private sphere (faith based groups, private business) do much to prevent social ills, but tax payers money should be used responsibly and effectively. Government is not ALWAYS the problem. One example of the private sector doing a better job then the federal and state run bureaucracy is Katrina. On other hand, as you have pointed out in a previous post, people do not always spend their money in a rational and sensible manner.

That is the difference between Americans and the British. If the government is the "wise parent", that reeks of Socialism. How can the "wise parent" prevent these social problems? 1. Crime 2. Poverty 3. Homelessness 4. Depression 5. Debt that strains the economy 6. Starvation There are many more - but we can start with these... |

Most folks who pursue their Master's, do so because they couldn't handle working in the "real world" and flee back to the classroom in order to get their Master's, and therefore their teaching credentials. Then they become teachers. That is the main reason people pursue their Master's... Therefore, it is no surprise that most of those people are Liberal. The MOnster announced He Himself started the Master's Program in August. However, The MOnster will remain a Republican, and will not become a professor. The MOnster thrives in the "real world"... |

Monster,
Well then i sincerely apologize. From what i remember, you took economics and switched to Sociology, but I guess i was mistaken.... More education after a BA degree increases your chances of voting Democrat. FACT. Having a MBA would obviously be the exception to this rule. So i do not understand where you think this ignorance comes from. I slightly disagree, the governments job is to be the "wise parent" and prevent social problems. Americans are skeptical of government but it is the only way to protect people from themselves. Some things should be left to the states, while some things should be federal. (a human life amendment possibly) |

The MOnster has a B.S. in Economics, and an A.A. in Criminal Justice. The MOnster took Sociology as a basic required elective. The MOnster actually enjoyed the class, although those teaching Sociology are hardcore Liberals. The point is this. You can't make stupid people smart. Nor can you prevent idiots from making poor choices/decisions in life. You can't prevent people from having children they can't afford, nor willing to raise properly. You can't keep people from committing crimes. You can't eliminate people's greed and prevent them from borrowing/spending too much money. If you could, we wouldn't have crime, poverty, homelessness, wars, and a crashing economy... |
