It took 9 years to capture the material and develop a coherent feature-length film which tells the story of preserved steam in the high fells, involving much planning and many days spent along remote parts of the line. The vast majority of the footage has not been shared anywhere previously and has been dedicated to this project. 21 different loco’s are featured, representing the LMS, LNER, GWR, Southern and British Railways.
