This channel is about my Media Studies class, Learning From YouTube.
This course was held on and about YouTube in 2012, 2010, 2008 and 2007 at Pitzer College. 
All research, assignments and classes occurred on and about the site. It is occurring in Spring 2015. The fifth iteration.
Many of the early class YouTube pages are dead, as Google stopped the Group Page function years ago. But you can see many of the class-related, student-produced videos, posts and discussion in playlists named after the various years of the experiment.
Also see the 6 TOURS from Fall 07, which help navigate the themes and lessons of the course from its first iteration. Students have embellished these tours as class exercises, and have created their own YouTours, accessible through the various course sites.
A "video-book" written from these videos, experiments, and other student work was published by MIT Press in 2010 and is available for free online at: http://vectors.usc.edu/projects/learningfromyoutube.
