It originally was a way for big youtubers to make it bigger by pulling the wool over the eyes of smaller channels, basically it was done to deceive. It then morphed to the point where people were "sub4subbing" and never actually watching the videos of the people they subbed to. Youtube, to my surprise, featured my video, likely because they also believe it ruins the integrety of those that work hard to earn every single one of their viewers... But, likely I'm still being a dumbass... sa'll good... Wouldn't be the first time :)
