"Dorm" is short for dormitory,

But i think you meant to ask why I called it a dorm editing system right?

"My editing system based in my dorm" wasn't very catchy.

Simply put this is the layout of t.v.s and computers used to edit films for my college classes, Motion Picture Production and Radio Broadcast are my majors.

Although I do understand it when written that way it may sound like a system made to edit dorms.
