One light, one model (Polly, of course), and a bunch of backgrounds, how much difference does the backdrop really make? In this live session, I’ll walk through a few classic portrait lighting setups without moving the light... but I’ll be swapping out the background every time. From bold black to clean white, patterned, textured and everything in between. The same lighting setup, different vibe. We’ll see which backgrounds work, which one wins and whether you really need to spend time thinking about what’s behind your subject. Is a bad background ruining your portraits?
