Come for the classic Sesame Street clips, marvel at the awesome musical guests, stay for the delectable ambiance.
Name: Rhonda
Age: 44
I'm a transplanted Aussie mom with an autistic son. Back in 1996, after trying to find the words to a popular Sesame Street song of the day (my son wanted me to sing to him), I ended up starting the Sesame Street Lyrics Archive with a couple of dozen transcriptions. Soon like-minded people from around the world started sending in memories and I'm pleased as punch to say we'll be topping 1000 songs/skits any day now, amazing! As I find them or are sent them (I can't make vids yet myself, creaky system), I'll be posting Sesame Street or Muppet related material.

Don't miss my extensive Playlists for many other musical treasures.

I'm Canadian. Please vote for Obama, 'cause McCain will push that damn button as soon as look at us up here in our igloos! :-P
Hypnotic!
According to Muppet Wiki, it's from 1971 and was sung/composed/animated by Bud Luckey (who went on to a great career with Pixar). It was a very popular song when I was a kid (44 now) and is currently being used in a salad cream ad in the UK, hence its rebirth. And 12 was probably the number of the day, that's all ;-)
The Blue Guy had the exact same thought! So, he took his lunch to the park. See "Grover sings to Fat Blue" here on YouTube for how that worked out for him. The title should give you a clue ;-)
Thank you so much for the background info, always glad to hear more about these great clips! Any idea on the singer? Just curious. And please note the five stars, people still love 'em :-)

Thanks for your very kind subscriber welcome. I appreciate that when I play one of your videos for my little granddaughter that it is the actual piece that appeared on Sesame St and not some parody or a rap type lyric nothing like the real thing. I have had this happen when we have looked for Teletubbie videos.

How neat that your mom sang you The Carnival is Over! I have enjoyed the Seekers since the 60s and love singing along, though my singing is kind of scary sounding!

Right now there are many baby seals in Puget Sound (we are on Mutiny Bay). Soon the salmon will come thorough too.

Thanks for your videos...Inga

'70s Kids Stuff 141 Videos
Odds and sods from my childhood. Includes memorable TV ads, the classic "Free To Be ... You and Me" special, oodles of great "Schoolhouse Rock" clips, plus "Fractured Fairy Tales" and Bugs Bunny goodies.
Sesame Street and Muppet goodies listed in alphabetical order by the official title (at least the ones I'm aware of). This list includes the classic "The Baker" and "The Number Painter" series of skits, some Roosevelt Franklin clips, and the two Christmas specials.
Just some of the classic musical performances from the Muppet empire.
