Siouxsie & The Banshees first took to the stage on 20th September 1976 at the 100 Club Punk Festival. 20 years later, fighting against an ever increasing wave of nostalgia and a growing fad for punk reunions, the band called it a day. With a deluge of column inches dedicated to the band's ill-fated relationship with guitarists or Siouxsie's ice queen status, it would be all too easy to forget that during their lifetime the band released 29 singles and 11 studios albums and in doing so became one of the most consistently successful bands to emerge from the punk explosion.
