Another hectic weekend, Sunday mornings here
I take a stroll my thoughts not clear
The fields are green and the sun shines down
Can look to the horizon all around

I walked the path i walked before
Past the old tree fallen to the floor
Theres a tap on my shoulder,
Turn but no-ones there
Turn back and the trees stood up square

Beneath it, a man sits thinking
crossed legged barely blinking
In his hand is a book hes reading
i ask him, "what are you doing here
How did you just appear."
He said, "Son i am in the minds eye,
Neither here or there
I had it all once but now i just don't care
All i needed was this book and this
Guitar on my back
And i could head into the sun and never look back

Money was mine, The high life to gain
Looking back i've only myself to blame
Booze and gambling ripped me in half
Back then it was all just a laugh

A storm hit and i fell like this tree
But now look at the tree and look at me
The tree is back standing so very strong
I've learnt from the past and the thinks i did wrong
So because of this i've wrote this song
So take this book and this guitar
And spread the message very far

With that he was gone
But he left the sound of his song
With his guitar i know what to do
But with his book, i haven't a clue
Until i read the title
