i have an associates degree in early childhood education and i am currently looking for a fuul time job. i love reading all kinds of books,i also like to take my dog for walks and i love listening to all kinds of music, i like to write poems as well.


*****YOU KNOW YOUR FROM PHILLY WHEN...*****
1. you bleed green when the eagles are on a role.
2. you wait for SEPTA to come and then there are no seats on the bus.
3. the delema of the day is PATS or GENOS steaks.
4. you order a cheese steak "wit wiz"
5. you can't resist running up the steps of the art museum like ROCKY.
6. you know what it means when you say "i will meet you infront of the cloths pin"
7. you know about throwing snowballs at santa and laugh about it.
8. you now the best time for South Street is at night.
9. you can't help but do the mummer strut when ever you see a string band go down the street.
10. you wear a cheesesteak hat to a football game (and think it looks great).
11. you lose your voice screaming for your fav philly team.
12. you know how to get around the italian market.
13. you have some kind of idea of who the broadstreet bullies were.
14. you don't have to take a picture of love parck.
15. you know how to get to Penns Landing.
16. you shop in the Gallery
17. you know what the Gallery is.
18. you know how to read the grid map that is Philly (the map looks like a grid).

POEMS:

*****HARD TO BE YOURSELF*****
Sometimes it's hard to be yourself.
When everyone is telling you to be someone else.
It's hard to change the way you feel when your always alone.
Your heart starts to feel like stone.
Your too fat, too ugly, and you don't dress right.
Some say you would be better off only going out at night.
But I say who are you to tell me what to do.
You are only one of a small few.
Everyone is different and that is what makes this world so great.
It should not matter what size, shape, or color we "rate".
It should matter on our personalities and who we are inside.
So what if your rich and I'm not, or if I take the bus and you have a nice ride.
You treat me with respect I'll treat you the same.
I know it may sound corny and lame.
But it is the way things should be.
To make this world better for you and me.
So in the future 20years down the line.
They will be saying "man they sure did fine".
But we have to get going now.
You may ask how?
Stop teasing, and put away the guns.
Stop and talk instead of doing hit and runs.
Words can do more good if you take the time to use them right.
They are much better thanthese damn gang fights.
So that is my proposal.
It is purly at your disposal.
But I do ask you this one little request.
Follow these things I have said and do your best.
It's not hard just give peace, love, and friendship a chance.
You will see a difference at the first glance.
Once you do that you'll be having a lot more fun.
There will be no more reasons for you to run.
So yes it is hard to be yourself.
But that is all you have to be and no one else.

*****THE FIRE*****
Dark, thick,smoke fill his lungs.
The heat is so intense that it begins to burn his skin.
He crawls along the floor so low that he is on his thumbs.
He is there because of someones sins.

The black poison hits him.
Because his gear has failed.
But he keeps going because there is someone within.
Because of the broken gear he can not be trailed.

As he goes in the floor gives way.
He falls to his sudden firery death.
The house was empty no one did stay.
The fire started because someone felt the need to use meath.

The toxins fill the air as the fire is put out.
The men enter to look for their fallen brother.
Outside there is a loud blood curdiling shout.
It is the sound of his wife and no other.

He died trying to save a life that was not there.
A family has been left scorned.
His voice he will no longer share.
A close town left to mourn.

All this because of that fire.
A hard working firefighter is no longer around.
A senseless death because of someones drug induced desire.
Now a inocent man is six feet underground.

That is what happened in the FIRE.
