Yeah, theorem.
You're really struggling with this so I'll give you a more definitive answer. Look up Euclid's proof for the infinitude of primes or the proof that square root of 2 is irrational. Those are the two most famous and classic uses of RAA and are easily available online. In RAA, the alternate hypothesis is posited. And then conclusions are drawn from that hypothesis to show that a contradiction is reached independent of the theorem to be proven.
And another thing: why did you say your outline is persuasive to you if it assumes what it's proving? Looks like you don't understand a thing about logic. And the last two lines of my argument is nothing but yours in reverse. Are you really that lost? I just exchanged G for not-G and showed how your faulty reasoning would lead to the opposite result.
But fine, I'll walk you through how you're misusing RAA: When you use RAA, you don't make a contradiction with the statement of the theorem and the alternate hypothesis (i.e. with G and not-G). That's because of course those two are going to contradict. Instead, you draw a contradiction with the alternate hypothesis (not-G) and an implication of the alternate hypothesis.
"if youre such a logic buff you should have been able to see that the first premise is the conclusion." No shit. Really? That was the easiest part to understand. I picked out RAA because I thought that's what was giving you a hard time there. (continued)

I'm thinking about using it in a video in conjunction with a 12-tone piece (haven't decided which yet) since I find 12 tone to be an interesting paradox of system (the tone row) and negation (of tonality) co-exesting within one form. The quote is somewhat long, which makes it slightly more difficult to use, but I think if I split it up into 3 or 4 consecutive slides it could work.

I like your point about system/negation in culture and religion -- I hadn't thought of it in that light but it's v. interesting. GG's ideas have also greatly enriched my life -- they have that same creativity, articulateness, and perceptiveness that is so very present in his music.

Here's one of my favorite GG quotes:

"The trouble begins when we start to be so impressed by the strategies of our systematized thought that we forget that it does relate to an obverse, that it is hewn from negation, that it is but very small security against the void of negation which surrounds it. And when that happens, when we forget these things, all sorts of mechanical failures begin to disrupt the functions of the human personality. When people who practice an art like music become captives of those positive assumptions of system, when they forget to credit that happening against negation which system is, and when they become disrespectful of the immensity of negation compared to system -- then they put themselves out of reach of that replenishment of invention upon which creative ideas depend, because invention is, in fact, a cautious dipping into the negation that lies outside system from a position firmly ensconced in system."
