Hello friend. I have subscribed to your videos, because I would liketo watch them later, but haven't the time to watch it now. Thanks for postig them however.

"I do distinctly recall that your responses were off-topic". That's because the video I wanted to comment on had the comments disabled. And you blocked me entirely. Plus, you make ARGUMENTATIVE videos. You make an argument, then tightly control what parts of the other side is heard, which is definitely a trend on Christian channels. I hate doing this on someone else's channel but remember you blocked me. I don't know of ANY atheist who feels the need to regulate the argument.

whoa, i haven't logged in here in forever. anyway, as far as disabling comments, grammastola's right: the comments section would get ugly -- fast; and i wanted to avoid that. if you want to debate theism, the Bible, etc, there are much more appropriate places, such as theologyweb.com.

as far as adding more videos, i was thinking about it but it's time consuming and there's an easier way: check out veritas.org (or more directly, http://www.veritas.org/3.0_media/talks/). the william lane craig and the short henry schaefer videos that i posted are the only ones i have that aren't on that site. you also might want to check out http://www.apollos.ws which may have some more. if not, the articles are more than worth a tvisit -- awesome site!

As you may have noticed, DickJohnson3434, I did not specifically mention you. I don't recall if you were specifically abusive or not; after all, I deal with a lot of responses. However, I do distinctly recall that your responses were off-topic, and I explained why in considerable detail.

It's not difficult, folks. If someone posts a video, then please respond to the content of the video itself, rather than tangential issues. There is only so much that can be covered within a ten-minute video. If someone attempts to refute an atheistic argument, for example, then it's unfair to lambaste that person for not offering a positive defense of theism. Such matters are worthy of discussion, but they would merit a separate video altogether.

I hate to do this but Grammastola, I wasn't at all abusive to you or wildly off topic and not only did you refuse to approve my comments and outright disable comments on many of your videos but you blocked me entirely, immediately after sending me a private message that I ofcourse couldn't repond to. Apologies to gccsmq for dirtying up his channel.

I think that you're perfectly justified in disabling comments. In an ideal world, everybody would stay on topic and conduct themselves with civility. They would also make a reasonable effort to understand what the opposite side says. In practice though, these discussions often deteriorate into mudslinging and wildly off-tangent remarks.

For my part, I allow comments up to a point. I allow comments that disagree with my own, but delete the ones that are abusive or wildly off-topic. And when the discussions deteriorate to the point that they shed more heat than light, I think that's a good time to close them.
