It's 1965 all over again.

Turn on the TV set (allowing a few minutes for it to warm up) and adjust that chunky channel selector to your favourite cartoon show, Prince Planet, the boy from Planet Radion.

Watch as Prince battles with his arch-enemies Warlock, the magician from Mars and the formidable Krag from Planet Kragmire. Thrill to the adventures of Bobby, Diana, Dan Dynamo and Aji Baba as they fight the bad guys from right across the Milky Way.

All, of course, in glorious black & white!

Oh and don't forget to wear your own home-made "P" pendant. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-PAZZZZOWW!!!! !!!

have just read your comments below, and how correct you are in relation to the change from B/W to colour, Prince Planet was I believe robbed its full exposure because of colour, it would be wonderful if a new series could be made, much like the updated astroboy.

having had the seed of this show in the back of my mind for 37 years tells me something about how effective and impressive a tv show can be on a childs mind, so i have to ask what kids of today will drag through life in the back of their minds..????

I LOVED this show when I was young in Chicago. But I don't remember if Channel 44 WSNS showed it or if it was one of the following: Ch. 32 WFLD, Ch. 9 WGN, or Ch. 60/66 WGBO??

Sorry, I don't know how the link supposed to show. All I did was to attach the video.

I forgot to show you this! (^~^;) I made that vid., but it's unsuccessful.

I forgot to tell you how I stumbled onto this rare show.
I was at an Australian web page that has info of all classic anime.
When I first saw the info and images of Prince Planet before it was on YouTube, my thought was that looked like Jimmy Sparks of Gigantor.

Jimmy on the other hand has his features changed from 1963 to 1965 since the original Tetsujin 28 series came.
His eyes weren't that big until now, but a bit bigger. His other features were also similar to Bobby.

And to anyone thinking he's like Astro Boy, why don't they just use their heads to prove that it's wrong?

Well, I rest my case and hope I'm right.... (^_^)/

Well I'm 50 and still remember this along with other B&W anime classics such as Eighth Man,Astro Boy,and Gigantor. Cartoons were grand back at that time. The ones they have today really sucks.

Note to all 40+ year olds. No Prince Planet was not a dream, it was an actual real TV show! LOL

hehe thats a remarkably common reaction. i really fee that when the networks killed off most of their B&W programming, they also stole away a piece of our childhoods.
jsiloman | 03 October 2007
I can't believe it! I thought It had been some kind of dream, but there really was Prince Planet.

thansk again to everyone for the kind remarks. I loved this series when i was a kid, most people who remember it tend to be in their 40s like me because they remember the switch from mixed B&W and colour programming to all colour. It was a sad time when nearly all the classic B&W shows were pulled.

I've just post the first episode featuring Krag from planet Kragmire. More impressive than Warlock. Krag is a villain more worthy of the prince's attention.
