The videos I accidentally filmed on cinematic mode. I've quit most social media now so my only real link here is: storygraph: https://app.thestorygraph.com/profile...

I spent this weekend on a four hour boat ride, long drive, and four flights, and now I'm back from Colombia. I was there with the UN Refugee Agency for my Creators for Change project, which involves several videos launching during vlogmas. There is a lot of editing and filming to do for that in the next week, but I'll also be uploading some other things I filmed while on tour, including a video I made about The Book of Dust. Let me know if there are any vlogs you'd like to see and I'd be happy to film and upload one in the next couple of days :) otherwise, will stick to my plans! Hope you're all doing well. x

Coming in about six hours: a new video with Sanne about 10 of our favourite lesser-known YouTubers. Who have you been watching this month?

One of my favourite things about reading is that the order of books you read changes the threads you read in a book. I happened to read the three books in today's video back to back and it drew out the distance between parents and their grown-up or growing-up children. In today's new video I talk about The Road to Lichfield by Penelope Lively, Refuge by Dina Nayeri, and What it Means When a Man Falls From the Sky by Lesley Nneka Arimah. https://youtu.be/fMAhYrkB2rM Also, I'm going to try to do a liveshow on here later today probably around 11am ET, 4pm UK x

I'm really excited to upload a new video for the first time in a while. Everything has been busy and suddenly it's July but I missed making videos and have been itching to upload. The third episode of Backburner goes up at 10am UK time today (Saturday). If you're new to my channel and wondering what this Backburner thing is, it's a series I do where I cook from the same cookbook for a month (in theory, the upcoming video actually spans several months) and keep a kind of mood diary. You can find the first two Backburner videos here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list... Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the new one. Also: my YouTube partner manager says I should experiment with live shows, so maybe I shall! x

My new video takes place in Amsterdam, where I was for VidCon Europe. It's odd to look back at the iPhone vlog I made there two and a half years ago when we were in Amsterdam for The Fault in Our Stars filming. Obviously, I had to visit the bench, which is now covered in couples' names and quotations from the book and film. Sanne and I took a picture. Here is the video about my trip: https://youtu.be/Wn52yJC8FYc

January Backburner is coming soon, as well as my book reviews from my previous vid! Until then, a picture of the winter cous cous I made from Ottolenghi's Plenty. I've planned to film quite a bit this weekend, hope that pans out. Take care and don't forget to eat!
