Based on what I now call, "Babe I Get This Feeling (2023). Simply to identify it as recorded as part of a project to add full backing to some of my songs Other versions are acoustic and backed by Ukulele or Guitar. This song, written by myself, in the early 1980's has been set to a retro style backing reminicent of the 60's. The first in a series of videos created to supplement a project to create a fully instrumented version of some of my songs. These are collaborative projects with an audio engineer just starting out in the field. He is hoping to learn from working on "the blank canvas" that my songs offer. Allowing him to work without preconceived ideas. I write the songs and sing the lead lyrics. All other instruments and backing vocals, the mixing and mastering are down to my colleague. I am excited and very grateful for this chance to hear my songs "bought to life" in this way. A proof of concept, the song, the backing and arrangement and the video. For myself I have never heard any of my songs (and I have been writing songs since the early 1960s) with a professional quality backing. Or tried to sing them to anything other than my own strumming on either guitar or ukulele. It has been exciting and pleasing, I have tried to put the result onto a video and incorporate the lyrics - of course I have since spotted at least one typo. I have also come across one line of the vocal where I seemed to have lost the tune altogether. My fault entirely. I had no share of creating the amazing instrumental sounds or of the arrangement or the playing of any of the instruments. Note: This video/song may have been available under the name John Raymond which was a temporary "nom de plume" on another website.
