Italian DJ/Producer MARCO DEMARK began spinning his favourite tracks at just 12 years old and made his first club appearance in Italian clubs at the age of 15.
Demark's first studio outing was a track called "You Got To Know". Produced with Mark Munro, it appeared alongside DJ Craig Obey's first production, "Feel The Vibe", on limited edition 12" vinyl.
In 2002, Demark produced three tracks with Italian DJ, Blade from Jestofunk. "Palace City", "Spanish Lab" and "So Good" were all released through Blade's own label Cavernjatt.
In 2004, Demark produced a compilation album entitled 'Ghetto Paradise' with Blade and Mark Munro - the compilation's name inspired by his now homebase on the Gold Coast. 'Ghetto Paradise' sold over 10,000 copies worldwide and featured "Seven Mile", a track written and produced by Demark, Mark Munro and keyboard player Dan Gulson under the name of Grooveyard.
After spending time in the studio producing a batch of new material, an association with NEW YORK DJ, Carl Kennedy led to Demark signing his production of "Tiny Dancer" to Carl's own label, Wasted Youth. The remake of one of Elton John's most famous songs has proved to be a dance floor winner and is already getting a great response from some of Australia's leading DJs including Craig Obey and The Stafford Brothers and naturally, Carl himself. The promo of "Tiny Dancer" is about to come out for the European summer with remixes from Craig Obey and one of Italy's top producers, Andy F.
Now with over 15 years experience as a DJ, Demark's sets now reflect how important his music is to him, blending powerful House and Electro grooves with a dash of upfront Italian attitude, the best is yet to come from this rising producer.
Singer CASEY BARNES may well be Australia's best-kept musical secret. The Gold Coast singer-songwriter finished an amazing year in which he opened an outdoor concert for visiting Canadian rocker Bryan Adams and showcased his radio-friendly rock style alongside well-known Australian acts such as Eskimo Joe, The Whitlams, Jack Jones and Diesel.
Barnes has just released his third album on which he delivers what's best described as incredibly passionate music. It's honest, easy to digest and boasts many memorable moments. The acoustic stunner, "Princess" and the single-worthy cuts "Coming Back To You" and "All Falls Down" are just three that stand out. Fans of Rob Thomas, John Mayer and Matchbox 20 will love Casey's new album, which has just been released through i-Tunes - he's a name to watch.
Having recently returned from a successful five week promotional tour of the U.S. and Europe, there is seemingly no environment that Casey cannot adapt to. This is further emphasised with Casey lending his vocal talents to DJ/Producer Marco Demark's breaking track "Tiny Dancer", the Elton John classic. "Tiny Dancer" has now been licensed around the world and is gathering momentum with remixes by The Camel Rider, Deadmau5, John Dahlback and Moto Blanco. It has also been added to the daytime play lists of the biggest and most influential radio stations in the UK; Radio 1, Kiss FM, Capital and Galaxy. This radio play with dance floor support from some of the biggest international DJs; Tiesto, Eric Morillo, Paul Van Dyke, Armin Van Buuren and naturally Pete Tong and Carl Kennedy, have set up "Tiny Dancer" to cross-over to commercial hit status and potentially be one of the biggest tracks of 2008.

Filo and Peri are two of the hottest up and coming producer and dj talents in the biz. 'Anthem', the new single by Filo & Milo is a wonderful combination of smashing beats and very emotional lyrics and melody.
This is an anthem for the girl that got away This is an anthem for the world of yesterday This is an anthem for the rebel of my youth This is an anthem for the risk of loving you...
Enjoy the video, and this interview by EventVibe with the talented duo. Eventvibe founder, Tim Ortiz, was able to spend time with Dominic Filopei (Filo) & Bo Pericic (Peri) during a recent tour to promote their latest CD, "Crowd Control."
Tim: Where are you both from in New York? Filo: I was born and raised in the Bronx. Peri: I'm from Westchester, NY and our studio is in the Bronx.
Tim: How long have you been in the business? Filo: I've been involved with music since I was 5 years old, but I've really only been in the business about four years. Peri: We've been in the business for almost 4 years now, but I have been working on music for as long as I can remember.
Tim: How did you get in the business? Filo: We officially got in the business when Armin Van Buuren signed our first record in 2003. Peri: Yeah - we got the call on July 17th, 2003 and Armin wanted to sign our record 'Elevation'! It's an easy date to remember because it happened to be on my 18th birthday - what a great present!
Tim: Bo, has your age ever gotten in the way of your goals as a producer/dj? Filo: Not really. It's a little harder to have people take you seriously when you're young, but I don't mind earning respect. I would say that being a producer/dj has made me grow up quicker because of all the things we've had to deal with in this business.
Tim: Dom, a couple of your tracks have been picked up by Paul Van Dyk's label, Vandit. Tell us about this please. Peri: We've been very fortunate to continuously have our work recognized by the top names in the scene. Last year Paul Van Dyk picked up a tune we made with California based rock band Fisher called 'Ordinary Moment'. The record was really successful for Vandit and they asked us for more. Our latest production 'Anthem' is a collaboration with New York based rock singer and good friend Eric Lumiere. It's catching a lot of buzz and people are already singing it at all our shows - we're really excited about that! Just last week at the Winter Music conference Paul van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, and Ferry Corsten all dropped it.
Tim: When you are doing studio work, please explain the creative process and who tends to get involved more, in what areas. Filo: We are involved in all the areas equally. The case with many duos is that one acts mainly as the producer while the other is more of a DJ. In our case everything is split equally and it really helps us move forward quicker. Sometimes one of us will put in more work on a certain track but at the end, everything we do is 50/50. The creative process is pretty spontaneous and since we have two systems at our studio, we bang out ideas pretty quickly. It's almost like an assembly line sometimes - while one of us is finishing the new track, the other is coming up with ideas for the next!
Tim: Where does your musical influence and inspiration come from? Filo: My inspiration comes from the rock legends and their ability to be at the front of the masses and have such a musical and cultural influence. As a DJ, I'm starting do the same thing and I have not had a more gratifying experience than that. Peri: My dad has always been into electronic music and I grew up listening to electronic music pioneers such as Jean Michelle Jarre, Kraftwerk, etc. That really made an impact on me! I have an extremely close family and my parents are a continuous source of inspiration. The opportunities I've been presented throughout my entire life is a direct result of their hard work, and that inspires me to work hard every day. It's hard not to be inspired when such an amazing family, girlfriend, and music partner/best friend (Domenick) surrounds me.
Tim: What should we expect from Filo and Peri in the next year? Filo: You can expect Filo and Peri in a city near you! Peri: An artist album later this year and some exciting gigs! We're also starting to work with Paul Van Dyk and Vandit much more closely.

Great new video from this amazing DJ & producer. Paul van Dyk's hugely successful career matches any of dance music's biggest stars, enjoying consistent album-sales in numerous territories, while the queues outside any event bearing his name tell their own story.
His new single, 'Let Go' is a classic slab of pure Paul van Dyk and a favourite from his club sets (the reaction to the live version at SW4 will no doubt stick in the mind for some time). Vocals come from Rea Garvey of German guitar heroes, Reamonn. TRL sensation Shane Drake has been brought on board to direct the video that was shot in downtown Los Angeles. Drake has quickly become Hollywood's leading music video director for his outstanding work on such videos as Timbaland's 'The Way I Are', Paramore's 'Crushcrushcrush' and Panic! At the Disco's 'I Write Sins and Tragedies' for which he won the 2006 MTV Video Music Award for Best Director.
Let Go' is the new single from Paul van Dyk's recent album, 'In Between'. 'No.1 on the iTunes Dance album chart, it was heralded by the dance and mainstream press, and is van Dyk's fifth artist long-player, and further cemented 2007 as another fantastic year for the Grammy nominee.

'Love the World' is The Karoshi Bros first release on their exciting new label 'We Are Woodville'.
Manchester's rich musical legacy has produced many iconic bands and labels, not least Paper Recordings. The brainchild of Peter Jenkinson and Ben Davis, Paper was responsible for an impeccable run of original, singular deep house 12"s and albums from such illustrious types as Salt City Orchestra, Crazy P and Eddie 'Flashin'' Fowlkes.
Paper unfortunately bit the dust in 2003, but now Jenkinson and Davis are back with a brand new venture — Woodville.
Expanding beyond the traditional parameters of the record label, Woodville will embrace animation, video and design to create a completely audio-visual creative outlet.
"We wanted to add a visual aspect to the audio side," commented Jenkinson. "We're using the original designers who were responsible for the image and graphics of Paper — they're called Sosumi — and they're designing the Woodville website, which will be graphic-led. We've also got a video being worked on at the moment, for our first release."
The first single on Woodville will be 'Love the World' by the Karoshi Bros, out 19th November. A twisted electro-pop bounce, it comes backed with a tech-house remix from Magik Johnson, and a stranger downbeat mix from Flash Atkins. The whole release perfectly captures Woodville's adventurous ethos.
"The idea is to spread it out pretty widely. Paper was of its time, we don't want to be pigeonholed. With each release we want to do something unusual, something different," revealed Davis.
Jenkinson added: "We're going to continue with the irreverent attitude that Paper had, but use as many sources as possible, make it more eclectic."
With releases planned from Heavy Deviants, Matt Playford, Flash Atkins and more from Karoshi Bros, Woodville is shaping up to be just as promising as its predecessor.

John Lennon - Imagine Acoustic live performace of Imagine by John Lennon. 想像してごらん ジョン レノン John Lennon was murdered by an alleged fan on December 8, 1980. His music has had a major impact on many people and his song Imagine is as vital today as it was when he first sang it.
Imagine there's no heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too Imagine all the people Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions I wonder if you can No need for greed or hunger A brotherhood of man Imagine all the people Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will live as one...

If you've ever enjoyed stories of RockAndRoll excesses, then this is a perfect video. It's all about pranks, diversions, and wild behavior; sex with groupies; the excess of drug and alcohol...
The commercial's protagonist is a rock star nightmare. The spot, which examines "the world of '70s Rock-God excess" with brilliant hilarity, was one of two AICP wins for director Tom Routson (Tool of North America). The message: "You have a mission to live," is brought to you by... insurance company Pohjola.
"We had such a blast on that project," laughs Routson recalling the shoot. "I was pretty much given carte blanche by the agency to write a treatment for their concept. They actually bought the rights to the Uriah Heep song, 'Easy Livin.' I was given so much freedom I kept expecting them to say 'we're only kidding, you can't really do that,' but every time I suggested or did something, they gave a thumbs-up sign. It was amazing."

ROCKANDROLL EXCESSES - TOP POLL
With stories of Rolls-Royces in swimming pools and televisions lobbed from hotel windows, not to forget the wrecked drum kits, Keith Moon was always seen as the ultimate wild man of rock and roll.
With stories of Rolls-Royces in swimming pools and televisions lobbed from hotel windows, not to forget the wrecked drum kits, Keith Moon was always seen as the ultimate wild man of rock and roll.
But now it's confirmed: the Who's former drummer, dead at just 31 after a life of hell-raising, has topped the list of the 100 Most Insane Moments in Rock, compiled by Q magazine.
The list is an enlightening record of rock'n'roll's wacky and weird moments - from Michael Jackson conducting a voodoo ritual to fatally curse his enemies, to Elvis Presley's predilection for mounds of jam and peanut butter sandwiches, via Freddie Mercury's offstage sexual thrills and Diana Ross being arrested at Heathrow.
Also included are the drug-fuelled deaths of Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin, and the bat-biting of Ozzy Osbourne. A chunk of the list compiled by Q's experts consists of some of the appallingly naff album covers - Cher and Yoko Ono - and bad taste costumes - Elton John and Grace Jones - that have so embarrassed rock.
But for "Moon the Loon", his whole short life - from joining the Who aged 16 to his death in 1978 from an overdose of pills prescribed to control his alcoholism - is enshrined as an Insane Moment.
Outlining his daily routine to a doctor, Moon once said: "I always get up about six in the morning. I have my bangers and eggs. And I drink a bottle of Dom Perignon. And half a bottle of brandy. Then I take a couple of downers. Then it's about 10 and I'll have a nice nap until five. I get up, have a couple of black beauties [speed], some brandy, a little champagne and go out on the town. Then we boogie. We'll wrap it up about four."
This diet of alcohol and pills fuelled antics such as setting off smoke bombs onstage and fireworks in hotel corridors, leaving a pig's head in someone's bed, having a naked food fight with police in a Holiday Inn on the night of his 21st birthday, and dressing up as an SS officer to go on a bar crawl.
Oliver Reed, the actor who accompanied Moon on some of his wilder moments, and no slouch with the bottle himself said: "Before we met, I knew the path to the bar, not to the bizarre. Keith showed me the way to insanity."
The worst moment for Moon came in 1970 when, attacked by a gang of skinheads, he accidentally ran over and killed his chauffeur. He was cleared of responsibility. But the craziness continued at his homes in Los Angeles and Surrey, eventually descending into depression and suicide attempts as he tried to kick the bottle and the lifestyle.
"Not only was he rock's most excessive rogue, but the first real rock star, someone whose entire life, on and off stage, was dedicated to maintaining a myth."
ROCKANDROLL, I told you so... ;-)
*While on stage one day, the grateful Dead's Mickey Hart was greeted by a fan who proceeded to give Hart his brother's skull. The fan explained that his brother had been a huge fan and would have liked Hart to have it. Looking at the skull, Hart proclaimed it a true "Dead Head."
*Two groupies revealing that they had slept with Rolling Stone Brian Jones claimed, "He was no Mick Jagger." After trying Keith Richards, they again claimed, "He was no Mick Jagger." Finally, after going to bed with Jagger himself they declared, guess what? "He was no Mick Jagger."
