Galadriel's Song of Eldamar
This is an orchestral arrangement of the penultimate song in the set 'Fourteen Tolkien Songs for Children's Voices'. The text of the poem of which this music is a setting can be found on pages 388-9 of 'The Fellowship of the Ring', being Volume 1 of 'The Lord of the Rings' by J.R.R. Tolkien, published by Allen and Unwin, 1954. The poem beings with the words: 'I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew...' And ends: 'But if of ships I now should sing, what ship would come to me, What ship would bear me ever back across so wide a Sea?'
