straight 8 is a filmmaking challenge that invites anyone to make a film on a single cartridge of super 8mm film without editing or post production
if it's great the first time you'll see it is at a packed straight 8 screening like our amazing cannes film festival premieres
super 8 is a type of film that people used to use in the 1960s and 70s to make home movies
it's still used in a lot of films today because of its unique and beautiful characteristics
each cartridge only lasts 3 minutes and 20 seconds, you can't rewind it, review it, or edit it until it's been processed at a lab
