The Lightyears

The Lightyears formed at school, and after achieving the impossible dream of headlining the Goring village fête, we embarked on a lifelong adventure of music, friendship and trying to look sexy and aloof in photoshoots. These days, whether we’re playing our own music to an intimate audience in Philadelphia, roaring through some of the best songs ever written in a marquee full of excited wedding guests in the English countryside or belting out singalong anthems to a raucous festival crowd in Cape Town, we follow three simple rules — have fun, make sweet music, and never forget that in 2008 we accidentally played a gig in a crèche.
