The UNU is a global think tank implementing policy relevant research on contemporary global issues. Through events and projects, the UNU acts as a platform for international leaders, policy-makers, scientists and world class scholars to share their knowledge and views on the big questions of today.
Launched in 2008, the Our World magazine (http://ourworld.unu.edu) presents the research outcomes of the UN University together with expert commentary in the form of short articles. The UNU also developed, at the same time, the concept of the video brief. These are short, character driven stories about people and organisations that are tackling complex social development and environmental issues in new, innovative ways.
